If people just knew basic history, then the bad guys would not be able to keep perpetrating the same crimes against humanity. It happens over and over.
The similarities between the treaties violated before World War II officially began and the so-called peace deals today, also being violated, are so blatant that it has to be a conscious decision to repeat the past because it worked. It fits in with this concept of the current Fourth Reich copying the Third Reich.
In 1938 and 39, Hitler’s Nazi Germany had violated the Treaty of Versailles by reconstituting an army. Germany invaded and took over Austria. Germany then took over half of Czechoslovakia. That is when they created a lame peace treaty called the Munich Agreement. Well, that was promptly violated, and the Nazis took over the rest of Czechoslovakia. Then, WWII began.
That same pattern is apparent now. Just like then, we have weak leaders in the United States who do not want to fight, or cannot fight because they are weakened. Trump is boasting about peace agreements that promptly get shat upon by Israel, Zelensky, and Russia. All of those countries are marching forward and expanding their territories.
These treaties now are just as worthless as they were back in 1938. Same as it ever was.
Google AI summary:
Prior to the official beginning of World War II, Hitler and the Nazis annexed or took over several countries and regions, violating key treaties that had recently been established.
- Austria
Treaty Violated: Treaty of Versailles (1919) and the Treaty of Saint-Germain (1919).
In March 1938, Germany annexed Austria in a move known as the Anschluss. This was a direct violation of both the Treaty of Versailles and the Treaty of Saint-Germain, which explicitly prohibited the political unification of Germany and Austria to prevent the creation of a powerful “Greater Germany” after World War I.
- Czechoslovakia (in two stages)
Treaty Violated: Initially the Treaty of Versailles and ultimately, the Munich Agreement (1938).
- The Sudetenland:Hitler demanded and was given the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia in October 1938. The British and French appeased Hitler at the Munich Conference. While the Munich Agreement itself temporarily sanctioned this takeover, it came after months of threats and demands that undermined the existing post-WWI border guarantees and treaties that France had with Czechoslovakia.
- The rest of Czechoslovakia (Bohemia and Moravia):In March 1939, just six months after the Munich Agreement, German troops invaded and occupied the remainder of Czechoslovakia. This was a blatant and final violation of the Munich Agreement, in which Hitler had promised to respect the sovereignty of the remaining Czech state and made a commitment to make no further territorial claims in Europe. The occupation demonstrated that Hitler’s promises made during treaty negotiations were worthless.
