May 15, 2014- Perhaps as a diversionary tactic to take away attention from the lousy baseball team, the Shake Shack burgers in Mets Stadium (Citi Field) are being blamed for food poisoning. The Post reports, “Firing back against claims Mets first baseman Lucas Duda and Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg fell violently ill after eating Shake Shack burgers, Danny Meyer claimed on Tuesday it doesn’t add up. On Tuesday, Sandberg said a burger he scarfed at the Citi Field Shake Shack made him so sick he lost six pounds over the weekend, ESPN reported. “It was a little bit undercooked,” Duda told The Post.”
