February 14, 2014- A blast email from Speaker Sheldon Silver’s office proudly states that his office was able to have the City DOT install a stop sign in front of PS 276, in the wake of the crossing guard being hit by a vehicle there recently. However, a full traffic light is needed, and the BPCA can afford it.
When Goldman Sachs wanted a traffic light on North End and Murray in 2012, the BPCA promptly paid for one. For unknown reasons, children in danger do not command the same urgency.
