The TV news propagandists use stories planted in print or blog sources as excuses to run with them on their bigger platforms. If the original stories lack verified sources, the TV clowns do not reveal it, giving credibility to the original stores. It is all part of a long tradition.
Well, that strategy backfired in epic proportion on Friday. CBS ran with a completely bogus story on BuzzFeed that, if true, would have been grounds to impeach Trump. It was so bogus that even Robert Mueller had to issue a statement that it was bogus.
So, on Monday, did CBS issue a mea culpa retraction? Hell no. They covered up their mistake, as a propaganda outlet would.
