The local advertising flier stated today that Pier A was “on schedule” and part of a citywide waterfront redevelopment program. The CEO of the BPCA, Gayle Horwtiz, was the source for the quote.

In fact, Pier A is a year or more behind schedule, as BatteryPark.TV has previously reported. Moreover, the scaffolding seen surrounding Pier A is a disguise. There is no actual work taking place that will make the project progress toward allowing the Pier to house private restaurants. The project is stalled.

In an upcoming story, BP.TV will report further on major scandals brewing that are soon to result in lawsuits between developers, as they point fingers for the reasons of Pier A delay.
