The extreme heat has driven away most animals. In addition, we are in a drought. I have not seen many birds over the last couple of months. However, I heard a bizarre sound. I went to get my camera. It was a new species. It is a Green Heron. It’s basically a Little Blue Heron with short legs. That grunting sound is like an alligator. That’s what alligators do when they are calling for a mate.
