- This is a nothing-burger. It’s already legal for farmers to process their own meat, and people can buy a cow and do the same. The problem is it’s currently illegal to sell it “by the cut.” So what exactly is being promised that Trump’s corporate meatpacking bosses will allow?
- Trump is fucking lying to and about Ranchers again: – He CANNOT “authorize documents” that let ranchers sell their own processed meat. That’s federal law. Needs Congress. – Custom slaughter already exists. The meat comes back stamped NOT FOR SALE: still needs USDA inspection. – He has no plan just looking save his own ass while a loyal constituency continues take hits.
