Apple stores have selected the iKlip Grip as being worthy of shelf space in their stores. I bought one for $60 and it works well.
It has a Blue-tooth button for remote control of the camera from a distance. Be sure to hold the button down until the iPhone recognizes it. There is also an on-off small button you might miss.
The mechanical tripod is made of quality plastic and metal. It works pretty well. I use it for time-lapse videos.
