Trump is becoming the Grifter in Chief

Recent actions by President Trump raised instinctive red flags for me. I could not quite explain it, but I just had a hunch that Trump was already looking past his presidency and into his years of getting rich off of his current status. I spoke with a Wall Street friend who stated it well. Trump is grifting.

It started with the effort to get Trump crypto. Grok, “Donald Trump, initially a crypto skeptic, launched the $TRUMP meme coin in January 2025, followed by Melania Trump’s $MELANIA coin. His family also started World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture. These moves, alongside pro-crypto policies like the GENIUS Act and a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, aim to position the U.S. as a crypto leader but have raised ethical concerns about conflicts of interest and potential corruption. The $TRUMP coin saw volatile trading, with significant losses for many investors.”

So far, only very corrupt Democrats have criticized Trump for his crypto scams. So, they have been ignored. But there are real ethical dilemmas.

Then, he began cashing in on artificial intelligence. His family has investments in AI. Trump is cozy with slimeballs like Israeli Sam Altman.

Grok, “Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, has been embroiled in several controversies. In 2025, his sister Ann Altman filed a lawsuit alleging he sexually abused her from 1997 to 2006, claims he denies, citing her mental health issues. In 2023, OpenAI’s board briefly fired him for lack of candor, but he was reinstated after backlash from staff and investors. His 2019 exit from Y Combinator stemmed from scaling disputes and side projects, compounded by inaccurate SEC filings. Critics, including Elon Musk, have accused him of steering OpenAI toward profit over its nonprofit mission. Former employees have raised concerns about OpenAI’s safety culture, and Altman was linked to restrictive equity terms he later claimed ignorance of. Reports of interactions with Jeffrey Epstein surfaced, though no wrongdoing was proven. The 2024 death of OpenAI whistleblower Suchir Balaji sparked scrutiny, but no direct connection to Altman has been established.”

Trump has been grifting with the Arab states. Grok, “The Trump family’s business dealings with Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, have raised concerns about conflicts of interest due to their overlap with U.S. foreign policy. The Trump Organization, led by Eric and Donald Jr., has secured lucrative real estate and golf resort deals, including a $530 million Trump Tower in Jeddah and projects in Riyadh, Dubai, and Qatar, often partnered with state-backed firms like Dar Global and Qatari Diar. Jared Kushner’s private equity firm, Affinity Partners, received a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund in 2022, and a Trump-affiliated cryptocurrency venture, World Liberty Financial, secured a $2 billion UAE-backed investment in 2025. Trump’s acceptance of a $400 million Boeing 747 from Qatar, intended for use as Air Force One, has drawn criticism for potential violations of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause. These deals, coinciding with Trump’s Middle East visits and major U.S. investment pledges from Gulf states, like Saudi Arabia’s $600 billion commitment, suggest a pattern of personal financial gain influencing policy, prompting scrutiny from ethics watchdogs and lawmakers.”

Trump, an equal opportunity grifter, because money is money no matter where it is derived, has also been pandering to Israel, angering his MAGA base. He seems to be trying to please members of congress in order to get his own agendas passed. Objectively, regardless of one’s views on Israel, Trump is angering MAGA again.

Grok, “President Donald Trump’s strong support for Israel, particularly amid the Gaza humanitarian crisis, has sparked significant backlash from his MAGA base, creating a rift within his coalition. Influential MAGA figures like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, and Steve Bannon have criticized Israel’s actions, with Greene labeling them as “genocide” and others warning that U.S. involvement contradicts Trump’s “America First” stance against foreign wars. Polls show declining Republican support for Israel’s actions, especially among younger MAGA voters, with a CNN poll indicating approval dropping from 68% in 2023 to 52% in 2025. Trump’s acknowledgment of Gaza’s starvation crisis and pledge for food aid contrast with his refusal to pressure Israel for a long-term solution, which he argues would “reward Hamas.” This tension, highlighted by Trump’s reported warning to a Jewish donor that “my people are starting to hate Israel,” reflects a growing divide between traditional pro-Israel Republicans and the isolationist MAGA wing, challenging the GOP’s longstanding unconditional support for Israel.

In an effort to throw a bone to the pitchfork mob, Trump is now posturing that he will arrest Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Those are cat laser distractions. There will be zero arrests.

It is clear to me that Trump is thinking of generational wealth for his kids and grandchildren. He is betraying the MAGA movement. We have a grifter in the White House, in my opinion.

How bad will this grifting get? Stay tuned.
