Went to Pier A last night. Wow how depressing. What they did with a fabulous space is a crime.
I have no objection to having a restaurant there. But to have a pub, a restaurant and an event space all run by the P people, is ridiculous.
There should have been at least one floor designated for an arts group and a floor at least to a real museum experience. It could have been interactive an innovative.
The pub floor is clearly designed for bus loads of people.
I wonder how long it will last before it is washed to sea! Water was splashing up all over the place last night.
The food essentially sucked. Only thing good was hummus. Chips were burnt on one part, under cooked on the other. Cesar salad was a bag of lettuce with dressing and tasteless croutons. Lobster “slider” was a lobster roll with way too much mayo.
There are no restaurants, where you know you will go and get a great meal in bpc and that is depressing.
Actually, the best I have found is Inatesso. They have been delicious past 3 times I have been there.
It’s a nice renovation, but it’s just a huge bar. They’ll never fill it until 4am every night.
The food is overpriced and just average. The drink prices are decent.
It has a nicer feeling during the day, but once the sun goes down, it’s really neon-y. I’m hoping the upstairs is better when it opens.
It’s really made for tourists.
