Dear Editor,
I am wondering if you have any information on the status of the ballfields? I understand they have sustained damage due to Sandy, but was told that no one has come to assess the damage. I am not sure if that is accurate, but I have heard it several times. The soccer season for the youth of the neighborhood was cut short which is clearly understandable. However, since all of the lawns in BP are closed during the cold months, that is the only space that is useable for children and adults to kick/throw a ball, run around and basically get some exercise. Last year, the field was used throughout the winter, but no one seems to know what the plan is for re-opening. If you have any information and could share, that would be appreciated.
