Update April 13, 2015- Well, we tried to lobby all the powers that be, but failed. IMG’s Fashion Week has relocated to some really odd venues, such as the old Post Office across from Penn Station. Nothing says “Chic fashion” like a post office in a crappy part of town.
Update February 2, 2015- The IMG events company running Fashion Week is in fact scouting out the WTC towers to be the site for the 2015 Fashion Week in the Fall, sources told us.

December 18, 2014- The Fashion Week people got evicted from the posh Lincoln Center location. They were sprawling into public park spaces and acting as if they owned the place (ala Tunnel to Towers and Tribeca Film Festival). Recall, Bryant Park booted them as well.
Perhaps the WTC can take advantage of this and bring those starving models Downtown? Get working on this, Silverstein and Port Authority.
