This is your $14 Million of taxpayer dollars at work. The “pile remediation” work being done is adding epoxy around the concrete piles that hold up the esplanade. However, the work seems to be less than urgent. The workers explained to BP.TV that all of the concrete is intact and looks good.
Why is this project getting priority when almost none of the other infrastructure repair items budgeted for 2014 are not yet underway? Well, this is an election year, and contractors almost always repay the favor to the located official who gave them the contract.
