Citi Bike 1July 17, 2013- DNAinfo is reporting, “On July 10, Rafael Vasquez, 38, yanked at more than 10 Citi Bikes at the bike share dock near 8 River Terrace after 1 a.m., police said. When one blue bike came loose from the station, Vasquez walked away with it, according to cops. A 1st Precinct officer in uniform then cuffed him.”

Coincidentally, this reporter spotted the exact same behavior at the same rack on July 13th and reported it to the police. Of all the racks to rob, this one has massive amounts of NYPD, within eyesight. Moreover, Citi Bikes have GPS in them and the thieves cannot resell the bikes. Not too swift.
