July 17, 2013- DowntownTV has the best sources possible relating to the prosecution of SAC Capital and founder Stevie Cohen, and also was the source for numerous front-page WSJ articles since 2011. That is how we were confident that most of the articles claiming to have “sources close to the matter” were exaggerating the reliability of those sources, and were really just quoting from lawyers tangentially involved.
Today, the DOJ’s Southern District prosecutor, Preet Bharara, confirmed our suspicions, and said that the reporters have no good sources, and that the DOJ was not leaking stories.
