Finn Square Overview 1To the Editor of Battery Park TV:

We are a non profit organization in Tribeca. The mission of Tribeca Trust is to educate the public about Tribeca’s history and architectural heritage but also to create and enhance new public spaces and make Tribeca more walkable.

What if we had a new plaza in Tribeca?  Come this Saturday and form your own opinion. We just received the NYC DOT permit for the event, so we would appreciate all promoting help that we can get!

Thank you, and below is the description of the event.

‘Plaza for a Day’ in Tribeca: kids classes and open space to play

On June 14, Tribeca’s Finn Square celebrates Plaza For a Day. 16,000 square feet bordered by Leonard , Franklin Streets and Varick Street–will be transformed into a public square, with free dance and yoga classes for kids (with parents), music, arts and crafts, free refreshments as well as choice food trucks, opera and bring your own musical instruments too.

Everyone is invited—organizers Tribeca Trust hope to raise awareness for the need for a permanent public plaza at this location, an idyllic spot of green and seating for neighbors far and wide to take a break and smell the flowers!
