August 29, 2015- A luxury leather goods store has opened in Brookfield Place at the top of the escalator that goes to the WTC underpass. It is called Bottega Veneta and sells handmade artisan shoes and bags.
Each bag is made in Italy and only one person works on the entire product.
The stylish symbol that distinguishes this brand is the basket weaving pattern of the leather.
Shoes and belts start at a whopping $600. I did not even bother to ask the price of the bags.
Next door, Gucci and Hermes will open next month.
