CB1 pretends the Galloway/Townley anti-Asphalt Green MOU never existed

BatteryPark.TV has previously exposed the scandal behind the attempt of CB1 member Jeff Galloway to draft an unwanted Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and have it signed by the BPCA, which would have served to protect the special interests of Bob Townley’s nearby Manhattan Youth from competition from the new Asphalt Green community center. Recall, this MOU was never signed for more than two years by the Gayle Horwitz BPCA administration, and was thought to be dead when BPCA Chairman announced that he would not sign it. Then, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the proponents of the MOU thought that the crisis might represent an opportunity, and resubmitted a tamer version of the MOU. After BP.TV reporting, this latest MOU was never brought up as a resolution to be voted upon at the December 19th CB1 meeting and seemed to have a short life.

During multiple CB1 meetings, as all of the drama detailed above was taking place, the author of the MOU, Jeff Galloway, refused to show the document to the Battery Park City subcommittee of CB1. Therefore, BP.TV submitted a freedom of information request to CB1 to obtain the mystery MOU. The CB1 legal staff replied
