July 15, 2014- The NYT reports that former North End Grill, former Tabla Chef Floyd Cardoz is to open another restaurant this Fall, to be called White Street, in the old Churrascaria Tribeca space. The space was purchased by former TV news people.
Hopefully, Mr. Cardoz will have more freedom to make his style of cooking that people liked at his Tabla restaurant in 11 Madison Avenue that closed in 2010. His attempt at American in North End Grill seemed unnatural for him, like a round peg in a square hole.
