January 29, 2014- The Post reports that U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel has numerous candidates lining up to run against him in 2014. Mr. Rangel has been in office since 1993, or 24 years, and has rarely had to run against challengers. His numerous scandals will likely bring him down.
Likewise, State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, embroiled in his own numerous scandals, is will be facing true challengers this year. Mr. Silver’s seat is by no means guaranteed any longer.
