September 3, 2014- The NY Times is the gullible victim of misinformation by the Brookfield Place bullies today. They are eagerly reporting that the Poulakakos-owned “Le District” (the Eataly rip off), is opening in November, and that Pier A Harbor House is also opening in November. In addition, they “report” that the Jose Garces tapas place called Amada will open in January.
And I have a bridge to sell….
All of those estimates are unreliable and simply untrue in some cases. The Jose Garces restaurant has not yet begun construction and sits within the WFC tower 4 building that is years away from completion. The same goes for “Le District”.
Pier A Harbor House does not yet have a liquor license and the outdoor plaza is under construction. Most importantly, they might be stalled for years in the courts as the liquor license process to date is challenged in the courts.
