As predicted, we just got rain
Calm seas over NY Harbor as the storm passed As BatteryPark.TV first predicted on Thursday the 25th, Hurricane Irene hit shore far more west than the models predicted, hitting the Carolinas and then dissipating into an eye-less tropical storm. Even after that occurred, however, New York Mayor Bloomberg and the (more…)
Hurricane Survey
As of August 27 at 11:00 AM, Hurricane Irene has hit land in North Carolina and is losing power (as we predicted more than 24 hours ago). Will the storm pick up steam and make Mayor Bloomberg look like a bold leader for forcing the evacuations of hospitals and coastal (more…)
What it really looks like in a mandatory evacuation zone in NYC
August 28, 2011 With the ratings-desperate cable TV showing misleading images on the ground, we thought you might want to know what it really looks like in a mandatory evacuation zone of Downtown New York. I can barely stand up in the ferocious wind. The storm surge should be huge. (more…)

Hurricane Prediction
August 25, 2011 11:39 AM Prediction Given the slow movement of Irene and the lack of a strong mainland opposing force, I say that hit goes more westward that the experts predict today. I say it hits at the border of North and South Carolina and fizzles out. This is (more…)

What a beautiful day if only we had a field to play on
August 11, 2011 New York is experiencing picture perfect beautiful day: 73 degrees, low humidity, bright blue sky.
