Police blotter: Staten Island ferry is the hot spot for crime

Staten Island ferry terminalAugust 18, 2015- A local advertising flier is reporting the police blog handed to them by the First Precinct, and to no surprise, the Staten Island ferry terminal was the location for most of the crime.

8/8, 1:30 p.m.

While on the second floor of the terminal, a California man discovered that someone had removed the wallet from his zipped bag. The wallet contained six bank cards, his driver’s license and $105 in cash.

A thief took the wallet from a woman’s bag that was hanging on her shoulder. The victim, who lost $300 but no credit cards, said she had not recalled being jostled or bumped.”
