I watched “Hell or High Water” because it was nominated for an Academy Award. It stars Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine. It is directed and written by Scottish-born David Mackenzie.

This is a good film. It avoids clichés and is fun to watch.

It’s about two brothers who rob banks in West Texas to pay off the reverse mortgage of their dead mother’s ranch in order to prevent the bank from foreclosing. The main theme is how banks are parasites.
