During the BPCA board meeting today, Chairman/CEO Dennis Mehiel announced that the new President and COO of the BPCA will be Shari Hyman, starting the next month. Ms. Hyman earned her Northwestern law degree after graduating from Columbia. She became an assistant district attorney for the city, then moved on to senior positions in the Bloomberg administration. Most recently, she was the Commissioner and Chair of the Business Integrity Commission.
Ms. Hyman is married to fellow lawyer and former ADA Daniel J. Horwitz. Mr. Horwitz was appointed in 2013 by Governor Cuomo to run the ethics office JCOPE.
