The apartment building at 90 Washington, directly adjacent to the newly planned 700-feet tall high-rise, has quietly been progressing, and might be completed next year. When the financial collapse occurred, the developer lost funding and scaffolding has plagued the street for six years.
The immediate beneficiary will be Abraham Merchant’s new biergarten called Clinton Hall. Even with the scaffolding, it is much busier than his previous Merchant’s Cafe that was killed by the scaffolding and Hurricane Sandy flood.
