August 25, 2014- Several community gardeners in Battery Park, at Albany Street and the West Side Highway, have grown extraordinary tall sunflowers this year. That, combined with the opening of the 9/11 Memorial with more tourists, has made the garden a common stop for photographers. The backdrop of the Freedom Tower with the sunflowers in the forefront is causing many people to snap photos.
