With the Brookfield Place Equinox getting close to opening, will the struggling Asphalt Green be dealt a fatal blow, or will their pool and basketball courts save them? What do you think of Asphalt Green so far?
Very different clientelle for Equinox and Asphalt Green. Equinox is pricey and not that kid friendly (although I assume this location will have daycare like Tribeca location) I would assume there will be very little siphoning of AG members to Equinox. There are likely residents who already belong to Equinox Tribeca or Wall St that will use this location, plus office workers in Brookfield.
Agree with David P. Families will continue to use Asphalt Green. Equinox will fill the “gym for adults” void.
