How to save the Little League season

More than a thousand Battery Park and Tribeca kids might miss out this year. The Little League season seems likely to be cancelled due to damage to the ballfields on Murray Street north of Goldman Sachs. The BPCA announced that the damage to the fields was so extensive, that the turf will have to be replaced, and that lengthy bureacratic RFP’s will be issued to determine the contractor. All of this will take many months. Why RFP’s are being issued is unclear, since they are not required in times of crisis, such as Hurricane Sandy damage repair.

The New York Stock Exchange traders are almost extinct

The New York Post is reporting that the low volumes of trading in equities, combined with other factors such as newer electronic exchanges, has caused the number of NYSE human traders on the floor to diminish from 3,000 in the year 2007, to only 300 now. The ICE acquired NYSE recently. Many believe that the NYSE is merely a “museum” and kept in business for the brand power alone. Don’t be surprised to see a new Cipriani occupy the NYSE building soon. Major development at the Seaport: ConEd power is finally on

Fiery ferry boat crash at South Street Seaport

BatteryPark.TV has previously exposed how the BPCA Dynamic Duo of misinformation, Matthew Monahan and Anne Fenton, have played games with the public announcements in order to diminish bad news or mislead the community over Asphalt Green.
