Do Community Boards violate the NY State Open Meeting laws with secret sessions?
March 4, 2014– By Steven E. Greer
The New York Community Board (CB) members have long discouraged discourse from the public during meetings. However, according to the New York Open Meeting Law, that seems illegal. BatteryPark.TV requested through the Freedom of Information Law the documents or law that would allow the CB1 to stifle debate, and the CB1 was unable to provide any laws are legal justification.
Before each CB1 Battery Park City committee meeting, CB1 group leader Anthony Notary routinely begins the meetings with the threat, Continue reading

How Scorsese’s editing ruined Wolf of Wall Street
Update January 8, 2014- CBS produced a segment today that echoes my review, below. Notably, CBS reasserts my notion that Hollywood was conned by Mr. Belfort. You can view the CBS story here.
January 5, 2014- By Steven E. Greer (a Series 7 certified movie critic) I eagerly watched The Wolf of Wall Street, despite the bad word of mouth and bad movie reviews in most newspapers. The Charlie Rose interview of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese convinced me that both artists had put their best efforts into the film, and had made a serious epic worthy of a rare Steve Greer theater sitting.
I was willing to endure the three hours that most had said was excessive. However, Continue reading

Hollywood set to oppose Hillary Clinton again
January 25, 2014- By Steven E. Greer, MD
In 2007, Hollywood powerbroker David Geffen gave an interview to the New York Time’s Maureen Dowd, which could have been the deciding factor that propelled Barack Obama into the White House. At the time, Hillary Clinton was the sure thing to become the Democratic nominee. Barack Obama was an obscure senator.
In the article, Mr. Geffen threw Hillary under the bus, saying, “Everybody in politics lies, but (the Clintons) do it with such ease, it’s troubling.”, and, ““Obama is inspirational, and he’s not from the Bush royal family or the Clinton royal family. Americans are dying every day in Iraq. And I’m tired of hearing James Carville on television.”.
Well, what is now be the worst nightmare for Mr. Geffen and his other Hollywood elite is the thought of Hillary Clinton finally claiming her rightful thrown in the Oval Office, and exerting her full vindictive powers of revenge against Mr. Geffen et al. So, Hollywood is already preparing for a war. Continue reading
