Update December 22, 2012
The BPCA news section, which was the source for the story, below, has been removed since our reporting.
December 21, 2012 By Steven E. Greer, MD
The Dynamic Duo of the BPCA’s misinformation team, Anne Fenton and Matthew Monahan, are at it again. The most important update of the year coming from the BPCA was buried inside an obscure BPCA website that almost no one in the community even knows exists. Moreover, they timed this important release to be at the end of the week before Christmas.
The update was on Continue reading

Update on the politics of Asphalt Green
December 20, 2012 By Steven E. Greer, MD
The full Community Board 1 met last night at the Manhattan Youth community center to discuss, of all things, the anti-Asphalt Green Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) initiated by allies of Bob Townley’s Manhattan Youth center. When the MOU topic came to discussion at the end of the marathon three-hour meeting, Chairwoman Katherine Hughes glossed over the MOU and no vote on a resolution was made. Continue reading

Opinion December 19, 2012 By Steven E. Greer, MD
In an astonishing display of small-town amateur crony politics, the Chairwoman of the CB1, Katherine Hughes, decided to hold the December CB1 joint meeting at the Manhattan Youth community center, while also having on the agenda the pro-Manhattan-Youth MOU that would restrict competition from Asphalt Green if signed by the BPCA. However, more serious than those egregious conflicts of interest and poor judgments were Continue reading
