April Fool’s joke? Broadsheet passes off commercial as news
April 1, 2014- The local advertising flier called The Broadsheet (BS), and its staff of amateur writers, has done it again. On April Fool’s Day, they passed off a blatantly sponsored infomercial for Bob Townley’s Manhattan Youth as a true news story.
Nowhere does the article mention that Manhattan Youth sponsored the story. Manhattan Youth is one of the largest sources of revenue for Robert Simko’s BS. Continue reading

Letter: I enjoy BatteryPark.TV
I read your email list serve and think you do a great job. I am interested in many of your postings ( & congrats on getting the scoop on the BASE jumpers, etc. story). You are helping to expose the Port Authority for the unconscionable and irresponsible organization they are – including their lack of protecting the public at the WTC site.

Update on ferry boat horn nuisance
March 29, 2014- By Steven E. Greer
Congressman Nadler updated the community today during a very informal meet-and-greet in front of Gateway Plaza. He seems to have made an earnest effort to speak to the U.S. Coast Guard about the laws now suddenly enforced that force the ferry boats to honk three times before they dock, and then again when they depart, from the Vesey Street slip. Unfortunately, his meetings have resulted in no progress, to make a long story short. Continue reading
