With more people becoming like me, and finding the theaters unbearable, deferring to see movies when they hit Netflix, I will start sharing my reviews. Please feel free to post your own.
I saw Prisoner tonight: 2013, starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal
The plots, which centers around the abduction of two young girls and the fathers who search for them, is not as cheesy as I thought. It is not an action film like “Taken”. Hugh Jackman does not shed tears and become the hero. Continue reading

More ice falls from One World Trade Center, shuts down West Side Highway

Obstructionists lose. Gourmet diner coming to City Hall.
Update February 19, 2014– Denny’s got its liquor license.
January 2, 2014- For unknown reasons, obstructionists opposed plans to bring affordable consistent dining, in the form of a Denny’s, to 150 Nassau Street, which is across from Pace University and City Hall. The space formerly was the the home of Taco Bell, no less, so Denny’s would be an upgrade, one would think.
However, since the building converted into a luxury condo, the residential board was resisting a new affordable eatery that might attract the riffraff of Pace college kids. How terrible. Tenants sued Denny’s to stop the move, but seem to have lost the battle. Continue reading
Cars buried in piles of ice for days in Battery Park City
February 16, 2014- Weeks after the first of many snow storms, the snow continues to pile up, melt, then freeze into ice. Most of the cars parked in BPC are now stranded, unable to move. Not only is the city doing nothing, but the BPCA, which also owns snow plowing vehicles, seems to be sitting on their hands.

Most Citi Bikes unusable, encased in snow
February 18, 2014- The Post reports, “A DOT spokesman said New York City Bike Share, which is in charge of operating the system, must remove snow and maintain its stations. At Bouley restaurant, Leo DiCaprio gives girlfriend a gift
