Tips of the Week: Cleaning up your web browser and turning off wireless router
Here are a couple of computer tips for you. First, we recommend using Firefox as your browser. It is much safer and less predatorial than the the others. However, even it can get bogged down with unwanted add-on programs. To clear it up, go to “help” then “troubleshooting” then “reset Firefox”.
Also, searching the web is perilous because almost all websites collect data about you and sell it to Madison Avenue advertisors. This is an easy way to clear that. Continue reading

NYPD refuses to charge taxi drivers
January 12, 2014- By Steven E. Greer
BatteryPark.TV has been the recipient of several assaults by TLC-licensed livery cab drivers over the last several years, as we successfully cleaned up the residential streets that had been serving as parking zones for the cars awaiting clients. In one case, two town car drivers entered the lobby of a residential building and threw punches. In another, this reporter was literally held hostage in a locked moving yellow cab.
However, in all cases, the police refused to get involved, always referring the matters to the TLC. The TLC then dealt out lame insufficient punishment.
The Post reports today that we were not alone. Apparently, even when people are killed by bad taxi drivers, criminal charges are almost never brought, Continue reading

Annoying New Yorkers who need to go away in 2014
January 1, 2014– By Steven E. Greer
Well, we made it into yet another year, sound and alive. Congratulations.
How can we make 2014 a better year than the past? For starters, wouldn’t it be nice if certain annoying (or worse than annoying) people just went into retirement this year?
I made a short wish list. Please post your own comments and suggestions. Continue reading

January 8, 2014- By Steven E. Greer, MD
The chronic problem of the Conrad Hotel allowing large groups using the hotel to have their transportation illegally park on North End Avenue was in rare form tonight. The entire strip between Murray and Vesey Streets was jammed with gas guzzling SUVs. When the driver of the lead SUV (closest to Murray) got out of his car to walk into the Conrad, BP.TV asked him to move his car. He dismissed the request stating, “So, everyone is parked there.”.

Exclusive: BPCA pays for park staff reassigned to non-BPC parks
December 2, 2013- By Steven E. Greer, MD
BatteryPark.TV previously reported that the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) contract with the New York City Parks Department pays for a large number of Park Enforcement Patrol (PEP) officers that are not actually patrolling the parks of BPC. The question of whether the full staff of eight to eleven PEP, that are supposed to be on duty at any given time patrolling the 35-acres of BPC parks, really show up to work, or are instead “no-shows”.
BatteryPark.TV has exclusively learned that Continue reading
