Former NY Senator Hillary Clinton found negligent in US embassy attack

Clinton-Benghazi-G1-620x362January 15, 2014- Former New York senator, Hillary Clinton, was found to have been negligent in the attack of the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya, that killed several people, including the ambassador, according to a bipartisan report from the senate.  Mrs. Clinton was the Secretary of State at the time of the attack. The report states, “At the end of the day, (Hillary Clinton) was responsible for ensuring the safety of all Americans serving in our diplomatic facilities. Her failure to do so clearly made a difference in the lives of the four murdered Americans and their families.”

Cops make arrest in ‘knockout’ spree

January 4, 2014- The Post reports, “The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force busted a Brooklyn man for at least seven “knockout” assaults, cops said Friday. Barry Baldwin, 35, punched out the victims between Nov. 9 and Christmas Eve in Canarsie and Midwood, police said.” (more…)

What will they remember from the Bloomberg administration 30-years from now?

In the year 2043, when Michael Bloomberg will be 101 years old (he is too healthy to die), what will people remember then as accomplishments of the Bloomberg administration? Thirty years ago, 1983, when Ed Koch was mayor, most New Yorkers remember those days as the city being a place of high crime recovering from the brink of bankruptcy. Then, the David Dinkins era was one of racial healing, followed by the Giuliani era, remembered for the reduction in crime followed and September 11th, 2001.

With Mayor Bloomberg set to leave office on January 1st, all of the newspapers in town are writing opinion pieces trying to encapsulate the important hits and misses from the Bloomberg administration. This is how I think Mayor Mike will be remembered in 2043: Continue reading

Flip phones are the new cool phone

Razr flip phoneDecember 30, 2013- With the news about the Fed’s NSA spying on your cell phones, then Google’s ability to literally track your movements through GPS, the old fashioned flip phone is coming back in style. People in the know, such as CEO’s of banks and financial gurus, have flip phones now.

More importantly, iPhones are such a liquid asset in the black market that they are getting the owners of those phones violently mugged. The old flip phone is your best defense against felonious assault.
